Note: PointsAway Classic provides access to our wealth of past reviews, updates, reader case studies, and more. Each article describes attributes of award programs – and methods to earn points and miles – that were accurate at time of publication. In most cases, things have changed over the years. You may also find some links and images are no longer available. Please verify any information important to you remains accurate through your own independent research. These articles are provided on a courtesy basis to provide inspiration, but should not be relied upon in making any important decisions.

We’re (Almost) Back!

We’ve been awfully quiet so far this year. After relaunching PointsAway with a brand new design great for exploring the stories and case studies we’ve created together over the past few years, you’ve probably noticed that we haven’t been in touch or posted much in the way of new content. Sure, we’ve checked in on Twitter from time to time, but the site has been frozen in stasis for much of the year.

That’s about to change. We’ve spent the past couple of months moving the site over to a brand new server architecture that makes it faster and better than ever and working on two huge projects. These projects were so time-consuming – but so worth the effort – that we had to sacrifice updating the site for a little while in order to put our full focus toward their completion.

The first is PointsAway: 2015 Edition. This update to the definitive guide for using frequent flyer miles and points to travel is jam-packed with all the latest, most up-to-date information and a half-dozen brand new chapters discussing exciting topics like cruises, Vegas vacations and even more great frequent flyer programs. I’m excited to announce that this new edition will launch on March 10th for all your favorite digital platforms!

The second? Well, that’s still a secret for now, until we can lock down a release date. We’ve always done our best to help you use your points and miles wisely, but this project is focused on helping you earn your points and miles wisely!

We’ll be back with brand new updates and reader case studies on a regular basis right around the same time the book launches. Until then…happy travels!

Sincerely,

Casey Ayers
